Director's Message

Franklin Sir

We have gained 12 years of professional experience with the development of rural communities, focusing on women and children. We believe that for sustainable social development, education and health are the two important issues need to be strengthening in rural and tribal areas. People are poor because of lack of productive assests, lack of dependable occupations, UN certainty of livelihoods, inaccessible and unaffordable institutional services and lack information on available welfare and development programs are the major reasons. In such a situation social, economic and environmental risks are pushing the rural and tribal communities in to the edge of vulunerablity.

Assessing all such risks we started working with the people, established Self-Help Groups with more than 2000 women, mainstreamed nearly 400 tribal children through our field based bridge schools/reading centers and established network with CBOs and other professional development agencies. Our activities on community awareness on social issues, leadership training skill development, awareness on health and education elimination of child labour, putting end to social evils, and strengthening the peoples participation in development programs as well as strengthening the partnership between SHGs and CBOs have yielded substantial results in the area.

Our achievements are clearly reflected especially in sustainable activities of our Self-Help Groups. Their economic strength has given socially advantages position for them in the family and community as well. They are now better organized, well informed and are  empowered with better bargaining position. This is turn has helped in eliminating the child labour from their families and also give due education consideration to the girl child overall their families are now in better position leading moderately qualitative living than their living conditions of the past.

This achievement has bosted our motivation further and reminding us that still there is much to do for these communities. We need to bring self-reliance and self-management capabilities among women, need to strengthen the agricultural activities with suitable and implementable techniques, need to eradicate illiteracy, need to bring total awareness on better health practices, need to protect child rights on par with human rights, achieve total social justice and out of all community based driven development is our long term objective.

With such innovative long-term objectives and short-term goals we the HELP proceed further working for empowerment and emancipation of socially excluded minorities, including women and children in rural and tribal communities.

In this Endeavor we are grateful to all our donors, philanthropists, and professionals who have helped  in designing and implementing the activities, At the same time we humbly looking forward for the same cooperation and coordination from all our partners Collectively we can create a word with “peace”, "harmony”, "humanitarian harmony” and ‘quality of life.

Thanking you.
